The A-ONE VIP partial kit includes the PCB and the programmed parts (ATMEGA32,ATtiny2313,GAL,EPROM)
The A-ONE is a fully functional replica of the Apple 1 computer. Originally created by Steve Wozniak in 1976, the Apple 1 is known as the "Worlds first Personal Computer". That was the year Apple Computers was started and more than 200 Apple 1 Computers were sold.
The A-ONE clone operates exactly like the Apple 1. Some original parts are used just as they were in the Apple 1. The A-ONE is equipped with a 6502 CPU, a 6821 PIA, 32KB RAM, 32KB ROM plus an enhanced Keyboard and video controller.
A PS2 port was included to allow the use of a standard PS2 Keyboard. The video-controller provides 40 Chars/line by 24 lines. Programs can be uploaded and downloaded through the included RS232 interface using another Personal Computer.
The A-ONE is not only a nostalgic computer but also a great learning tool that can be programmed in machine code or BASIC. A very powerful Assembler written by San Bergmans called "SB-Assembler" is available. More powerful tools like a disassembler, enhanced BASIC, FORTH etc., are also available online.
